Afsona

Every part of our meal was truly homemade.

The more we drove past the sign that said “Uzbek Cuisine” on 41, the more our curiosity piqued about Afsona Restaurant. From an abundance of appetizers, salads, and entrees on the menu, we focused in on some of the traditional Uzbekistan dishes that were warm, comforting, and left us knowing that every part of our meal was truly homemade.

🥟 Manti: steamed homemade dumplings in a light, doughy wrapper stuffed with beef or squash. Both equally delicious!

🍲 Lagman: Uzbek noodle soup! Made with homemade noodles, this aromatic, hearty soup may be reminiscent of your favorite chicken noodle soup, but filled with beef and vegetables.

🍛 Palov: the national dish of Ubzekistan! A rice pilaf with beef, carrots, onion, chickpea, and raisins, served with dolma and a hard-boiled egg.

🍞 Traditional Uzbek homemade bread with sesame seeds.
